What is direct painting?

The direct painting method of modern oil painting is also different from that of classical oil painting. Modern direct painting is mainly based on the artist's instant insight, accurately grasp and capture the feeling of light and color, with arbitrary sketches, directly shape the body, with an impromptu sense of freshness. It can give full play to the artistic creativity of painters, so that painters can express their feelings with full enthusiasm and skillful skills. Renoir said: there are no rules in my painting. I have to do everything possible to find some vivid tones to make my body quiver on my canvas. The direct painting method in classical oil painting refers to using opaque color or mixed white color to paint thickly and directly, which is different from whitening cover dyeing. Dutch painters in the 20th century often used shading viewfinders when painting directly. According to the projection of the shading viewfinder onto the canvas, a large area of color is directly applied with the flat coating method, and then directly colored to depict the object.
